Tuition Assistance
The Diocese of Providence believes that children from all walks of life should have access to a Catholic education. To affect this, the Diocese sponsors a tuition assistance program for children of modest means in grades K-12. All Diocesan aid is given on the basis of demonstrated need. Need is assessed by a third party provider, FACTS Management.
Procedure
To apply for tuition assistance, families should complete a tuition assistance application and submit it to the needs-assessment provider, FACTS Management. Applications may be obtained at the FACTS Management website, www.FactsTuitionAid.com, or at any Catholic school within the Diocese of Providence. One application is sufficient for all siblings attending Catholic schools, K-12. Awards are not renewable, so families must re-apply each and every year.
Timeline
The deadline for completing and submitting an application for tuition assistance in anticipation of the upcoming school year is mid February.
Schools will be notified of Diocesan awards in the spring. Schools will inform parents of any diocesan awards posted to their child’s tuition account.
Tuition Assistance Funding Sources
The Diocese of Providence currently has about 20 different funds to draw from, including the Anchor of Hope Fund and the FACE of Rhode Island Tuition Tax Credit Program. Your application qualifies you to be considered for all forms of diocesan aid. There are no special applications for specific funds.
Other Forms of Assistance
In addition to Diocesan aid, families are encouraged to ask their schools and pastors if any additional in-house assistance is available. At the pastor’s discretion, assistance may be provided to families in need.
